New Partner: Mr Tweeday

Welcome Tweeday!

Today we are officially launching a partnership with Tweeday. We are excited to have this great guy with us on board.

Tweeday has spent more than 20.000 hours in Counter-Strike and has around 130 million views on his YouTube channel.

We sat down with him to have a chat about his passion for Counter-Strike and being a CSGO YouTuber and streamer.

Why did you start playing CS:GO?

I’ve played Counter-Strike since 2001 (CS 1.6). I actively pursued a career within Counter-Strike:Source later in the years and then when CS:GO came I started spending time with that game. I love(d) the entire CS franchise so I had to give the “new” Counter-Strike a try!
Even though it was an absolutely terrible game to begin with, it’s definitely the best Counter-Strike has to offer by now.

Tweeday has been part of CSGO since its beginning.

A lot of people know you from your YouTube videos, which ones are you the most happy about?

Still to this day I think I’m most happy about my frag movies that I did in collaboration with NiP back in the day. The long frag movies with excessive work hours. Everything was just on point back then. I’m very proud to have managed to create these videos the way they turned out.

Here are the movies:
- CS:GO - "DREAM" NiP at DreamHack Winter 2013 - 640k views
- CS:GO - "REBORN" NiP at DreamHack Summer 2013 - 600k views
- CS:GO - NiP at Copenhagen Games 2013 - 745k views
- CS:GO - NiP at Copenhagen Games 2014 - 390k views
- CS:GO - "REDEMPTION" NiP at ESL One Cologne 2014 - 1.6 mill views
- "SECOND WIND" NiP at ESL One Katowice 2015 - 750k views

What got you into doing YouTube videos?

Friends. Back in my days we didn’t even have stable, fast internet (at least the majority of us didn’t have). So we kept meeting up at that one friend’s place that had internet. We had plenty of LAN events and I genuinely got curious how I could manifest our LAN events/highlights and so on in videos - which I eventually learned how to do.

I uploaded those to YouTube and suddenly those videos gained traction from other interested viewers as well. So that was the start; me uploading random highlight videos from my friends’ LAN parties.

What’s the best thing about streaming?

First and foremost, being able to manage your day in a flexible manner. When further thinking about it, I would say that you get to “meet” and learn many different POVs and so on. You diversify your own horizon - which I doubt would be possible if you wouldn’t be connected directly like that to an international audience.

What’s your most memorable CS:GO moment?

Dreamhack Winter 2014. You’ve got to get the background story in place quickly here: NiP (the legendary lineup) has finished runner-up at the first 2 majors, then won the 3rd (ESL One Cologne 2014). Then they proceeded to finish 2nd at DH Winter 2014 vs LDLC.

I’ve been part of it all - on site with the camera and I got sort of close with everyone this time; so when they lost the grand final vs LDLC I cried backstage. I just felt super sad for the players, their hard work and so on. Somehow the emotions just got to me. You know who walked up to me to comfort me? GeT_RiGhT… The guy who actually just lost the grand final. Like, that was unbelievable. I’ll never forget that moment, very inspiring.

You are also known for your workout. Please tell us a bit about your workout routine and why you got into this.

I got into it due to an injury in the past - then I got out of shape. So I gave the gym a shot. Nowadays it’s a routine for me - look good & feel good 💪😁

I basically work out every single day, unless I’m ill. But being occupied isn’t a reason to not work out. My rest day is me doing cardio.

With how much time I spend being physically not active, I need the gym. It’s my routine by now: wakeup - stream/do job related stuff - gym - then figure the rest!

It’s really weird to say, but without a great or good workout in a day I simply don’t feel good. People in my area actually jokingly say that I should move in the gym, since they feel like I'm there 24/7.

Has your workout positively affected your gaming skills?

It definitely has. I’ve gotten a better posture, longer durability and stress levels are being countered. I believe there are so many things you noticeably get better at.
In other words: You tilt ingame –> Gym –> Go back to tilting since you are refreshed. The CS:GO circle of life for me =)

Top 3 CS:GO Players - why?

ropz: He’s so clean when he plays, eye candy to watch
mONESY: Flashy gameplay, highlight player
s1mple: Don’t think I have to explain

If you’d go ahead and ask me about active / not-active players and so on, I could probably sit here and debate with you forever. But those 3 came to my mind instantly so I’ll roll with them.

Your favorite CS:GO skin - why?

Blue has been the color of my channels since forever. A Sapphire Butterfly was a knife out of my range for a while until I got it. So yeah my favorite is the Butterfly Knife - Doppler (Sapphire).

My top 3 picks will be:
Butterfly Sapphire > Flip Sapphire > Huntsman Sapphire.

If Tweeday could, he would wield 2 x BFK Sapphires!

5 quick questions

1. Cat or Dog - why?:
Dog - at least it listens a bit!

2. What is your favorite none-FPS game?:
Not gonna lie - I haven’t played anything but FPS games since… 2008? So I’ll roll with “FlatOut 2” - some car/racing games are always fun!

3. What are you spending your time with, when not working out or streaming?:
Family, friends, catching up on much needed sleep.

4. Favorite CS:GO map:
I don’t mind playing any map but Vertigo. F*** Vertigo.

5. Who is your favorite streamer?:
Honestly, I don’t watch many streamers since I don’t have the time. As a CS streamer I really “look up” to fl0m and GeT_RiGhT - the way they handle the constant “negativity” that CS can bring as a player is insanely good. Like they are constantly so chill about stuff where I’d lose my mind over. Teach me senpai!

Hmm… “It’s on you. Always has been.”
That’s a nice quote from the movie “Never Back Down” that I always have in mind.

And then I hope for a long and flourishing partnership between a great product from GamerPay and me!
😎
