GamerPay's New Fee Model: Building A Balanced Marketplace
To our users and the community,
As we continue on our journey together, building the best CS2 skin marketplace, we are introducing an updated fee model.
The updated fee model will maintain GamerPay's position as one of the most affordable platforms. By significantly reducing fees for buyers, we anticipate an increase in demand that we expect will benefit everyone involved.
Our commitment to transparency prompts us to share these changes openly and explain the reasoning behind them.
Understanding the Fee Changes
Our platform has always prided itself on offering a seamless, secure, and enjoyable experience for buying and selling CS2 skins at the lowest costs.
To maintain and improve upon this, we're making adjustments to our fee model, effective 2nd April 2024. Here's a summary of the changes:
Now lower fees
Card Deposit: Reduced from 5% to 2.5%
Card Purchase: Reduced from 6.5% to 3.5%
Bank Deposit: Reduced from 1.7% to 1.5%
*The €0.70 fee per card purchase/deposit will stay.
Same fees
Wallet Purchase: Stays at 0%
Withdraw: Stays at 2.5%
New fee
Sales Fees: Introducing a small fee of 3%
What about my Subscription?
All current Elite subscribers will keep their benefits until the expiration of your current period.
The future of our subscription will be as follows:
The Gold tier will become a subscription solely allowing you to access unique features.
The Diamond tier will still be the best way to lower your fees, providing free bank deposits and withdrawals.
The prices of the memberships will stay the same.
Why We're Making These Changes
The primary goals behind revising GamerPay's fee model are twofold: to distribute the fees more evenly between sellers and buyers, and to lower the costs for buyers, thereby boosting overall demand.
By implementing a small sales fee, and adjusting the other transaction fees, we're creating a better balance between buyers and sellers.
We are confident that these changes will continue to support our mission of providing the community with a fair and cost-effective platform for buying and selling CS2 skins.
The change in fees comes as a result of rising costs for:
Fees to payment provider: These costs have risen as we expand globally, offering more payment options to cater to your needs.
Employees and Server Hosting: Our dedicated team works tirelessly to provide you with the best possible experience, from customer support to platform development. As GamerPay is growing, so is the team and servers behind it.
Identity verification: KYC processes have become more stringent and necessary.
Fraud prevention, chargebacks and associated fees: Protecting our community from fraud comes with costs and challenges, which these fees help mitigate.
To Sellers: Consider Your Prices
The new 3% sales fee takes effect on 2nd April 2024 and will apply for both new and existing listed items. Following this change, you might want to adjust your prices to receive the same proceedings from your sales.
