P2000 Acid Etched Guide

The "Acid Etched" is a really unique P2000 skin with a variety of very interesting patterns that can drastically change the appearance of the skin! Unfortunately, there was not a lot of info on the patterns available -
so I did the work of going through all 1000 patterns and categorizing them so you don't have to!

Obviously there is a large level of objectivity that must be acknowledged in regards to "tierlists" and I am not claiming that my opinion is the be-all-end-all in regards to the tier ranking -
as everyone will have their own opinions and preferences. However, I have spent a ton of hours making this guide over the past few weeks and have manually inspected all 1000 patterns to break them into categories and tiers - so I have seen my fair share of "Acid Etched" patterns.

Pattern Categories Explained

To begin, I sorted through every single "Acid Etched" pattern and broke them into different categories based on the patterns I saw.
I then entered the top patterns into a spreadsheet and sorted them and grouped them into categories based on the pattern categories I found.
These are the patterns that I came up with:

Blue/Purple Patterns

These are the patterns that have the most amount of blue and purple "goop" on the top and side of the slide (as this is the most visible part of the gun when equipped.)

Green/Yellow Patterns

These are the patterns that have the most amount of green and yellow "goop" on the top and side of the slide (as this is the most visible part of the gun when equipped.)

Yellow/Orange Patterns

These are the patterns that have the most amount of yellow and orange "goop" on the top and side of the slide (as this is the most visible part of the gun when equipped.)

Rainbow Patterns

These are the patterns that have the whole spectrum of colored "goop" on the top and side of the slide (as this is the most visible part of the gun when equipped.)

Horizontal Patterns

These are the patterns that have the most horizontal lines of "goop" on them.
The ranking of these patterns is based on how horizontally level the goop is. A lot of these patterns are also rainbow patterns by nature of the way the pattern template works.

Clover Weapon Charm

These are the patterns that have the clover "hanging" from the gun near the trigger - making it appear like a weapon charm.
The ranking of these patterns is based on how well the clover appears to be "hanging" as well as the location.
The best placement is indicated by the green zone in the photo below, while the lower tier placement is indicated in red.

Clover on Logo

These are the patterns that have the clover directly on the P2000 logo of the grip.
The ranking of these patterns is based on how centered the clover is on the logo as seen

Clover on Tip

These are the patterns that have the clover on the tip section of the slide.
The ranking of these patterns is based on how centered the clover is within the best section. The best placement is indicated by the green zone in the photo below, while the lower tier placement is indicated in red.

Clover on Rear Slide

These are the patterns that have the clover on the rear section of the slide.
The ranking of these patterns is based on how centered the clover is within the best section. The best placement is indicated by the green zone in the photo below, while the lower tier placement is indicated in red.

Clover on Top (Front)

These are the patterns that have the clover on the top front of the slide.
The ranking of these patterns is based on how well the clover is mirrored to look like one clover.
The lower-ranked patterns have the clover mirrored further away from each other - making it look duplicated.

Clover on Top (Rear)

These are the patterns that have the clover on the top rear of the slide.
The ranking of these patterns is based on how well the clover is mirrored to look like one clover.
The lower-ranked patterns have the clover mirrored further away from each other - making it look duplicated.

Clover on Grip

These are the patterns that have the clover on the grip of the gun (excluding the patterns from the "Logo Position."
The ranking of these patterns is based on how centered the clover is within the best section. The best placement is indicated by the green zone in the photo below, while the lower tier placement is indicated in red.

Clover on Back

These are the patterns that have the clover on the back of the gun (near the hammer).
The ranking of these patterns is based on how centered the clover is within the best section. The best placement is indicated by the green zone in the photo below, while the lower tier placement is indicated in red.

Clover on Slide Release

These are the patterns that have the clover on the slide release.
The ranking of these patterns is based on how centered the clover is on the textured release of the piece (similar to the Glock "Star Patterns."

Creature/Animal Patterns

These are the patterns that appear to have various animals or creatures on the back of the gun.
There are no rankings for these patterns -
just a list of different ones.

Pattern List

These patterns are ordered from BEST (left) to WORST (right). Please note that I have only added the best patterns for each category to the tierlist.
